Stacey Younge, LCSW
Whether you are coming to therapy for the first time or are seeking a different experience, you can trust that I will provide a non-judgemental, welcoming, anti-racist environment to get you moving on your journey. I believe that we are all the experts of our own experiences, and I use this philosophy to help my clients achieve their goals. My aim is to help you use the strengths you already have to develop healthy coping skills and problem solving methods to use as lifelong tools. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience, and I specialize in depression, anxiety, loss and grief, trauma/PTSD, racial trauma, systems-based oppression trauma, and issues related to adolescents and young adulthood.
I founded Sixth Street Wellness because I wanted to build a collective of therapists who are committed to helping people build lives of abundance, where they feel strong in their understanding of themselves and prepared to navigate challenges with intention and resilience.
Because my family roots in the helping professions run deep and guide my path forward, I feel very connected to the SSW value “rooted.” I use this generational knowledge to help my clients feel that same sense of being grounded in their own power, identity, and journey.
In addition to SSW, I have an extensive background in mental health work with justice involved individuals and have served as a clinician to those returning home from the prison system. I also provide training around engagement, trauma and self care to community organizations around New York City.
