Our STory
Inspired by her family roots, our practice gets its name from Stacey Younge’s late Auntie Rah Rah, a social worker with a practice on Sixth Street in Berkeley, California. Stacey founded the collective in 2017, bringing us together as a group of social workers oriented toward social justice.
Our mission was to build a practice that aligned with our skills and values, applying an integrated approach to well-being. To us, that meant creating and holding space for our clients and each other, understanding and dismantling the influences of history and society on mental health challenges, respecting community wisdom and personal intuition, and evolving with intention toward lives of abundance.
Our vision is to be a place where clients and therapists are empowered to thrive, where everyone feels understood and accepted, and where we can all experience a rise in fulfillment and stability that reverberates into our communities.
Our Values
-
Leveraging our collective expertise, tools, and perspectives, we show up in service of our clients, our communities, our profession, and ourselves.
-
We welcome what becomes possible from a life that is in alignment, dismantling what does not serve us and celebrating the things that do.
-
We practice with purpose, so our practice evolves as we do. We hold space for each client to heal in a way that is authentic to their identity and supportive of their growth, goals, and sense of self.
-
Guided by our lived experiences, intuition, and generational knowledge, we respect each client as the expert in their own journey. We meet our clients where they are and work with them to use their strengths to power their healing.
-
Grounded in where we come from and where we are going, we draw from a deep sense of knowing, stability, and safety that we strive to offer to others.
-
We are committed to transparency, rigor, and learning. We understand that what is worthwhile is earned, and empower our clients to own their process.
