Kelly Woolf, LCSW
I believe therapy is a place where I can help facilitate your growth, where together, we can build a toolbox that you can take with you into the world. My hope for our sessions is that, through collaboration in a safe and supportive space, we will explore your unique experiences and empower you to navigate life with greater clarity and confidence.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience, and I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, grief, relationships, and life transitions. I have a psychodynamic approach that is integrative and eclectic, ensuring we can build our relationship around where you are and what you need instead of applying a one-size-fits-all model.
Driven by principles of service, equality, and social justice, I was drawn to the field of social work. As a clinician at Sixth Street Wellness, I am empowered to carry these values into my work with individuals and couples. By leveraging our collective expertise, tools, and perspectives, we show up in service not only to our clients but also to our communities, our profession, and ourselves.
Outside of Sixth Street Wellness, I sit on the Board of We Got Us Now, a national advocacy organization built and led by children of incarcerated parents. I have an extensive background in mental health work with justice-involved individuals and have served the outpatient mental health community in New York City for many years.
I believe that lasting change comes from meeting the needs of individuals while working to transform the systems that affect us. In addition to my work as a therapist, I’ve built a 15-year career dedicated to macro-level change: I consult on strategic visioning and partnership building with organizations to help them maximize their impact, and have worked with nonprofits that focus on cancer prevention and early detection, behavioral and mental health, and community service.
